Overview

Washington Inn Supper Club, nestled in Cecil, Wisconsin, stands as a classic steakhouse that combines tradition with hearty Midwestern fare. Located at 101 S Warrington Ave, this supper club has been a staple in the community for decades, welcoming locals and visitors alike with a warm, inviting atmosphere that echoes its rich history.

The menu is a testament to the art of comfort food done well. Signature dishes such as the Panko-Encrusted Walleye showcase fresh, expertly prepared fish, while the Ribeye Steak and Stuffed Tenderloin highlight the club's mastery of protein-centric classics. Seafood lovers will appreciate options like Blackened Salmon and the Seafood Platter, offering bright flavors and well-balanced seasoning. Accompanying sides like Potato Skins, Mixed Vegetables, or the popular Twice Baked Potatoes round out the hearty meals, making every plate feel thoughtfully composed.

Beyond the food, Washington Inn delivers an authentic supper club experience—one marked by a dim amber glow accented with white Christmas lights, a bustling bar with enticing specials, and a sprawling salad bar that offers more than just greens, including fresh soups and dips. It's a setting that invites gathering, whether for a family Sunday dinner or an evening out by the public Cecil boat landing nearby, catering primarily to locals and travelers seeking comfort and familiarity in their meals.

Customer feedback reveals a mix of experiences reflecting the club's busy, popular nature. Guests praise the quality of steaks, with one diner recalling a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak and vibrant salad bar offerings. Others highlight exceptional cocktails and a notably friendly service team that helps elevate the overall visit. However, moments of strain during peak hours suggest occasional challenges with supply and cleanliness, underscoring the need for attentive management amid high demand.

Dessert offerings are simple yet satisfying classics like sundaes and cheesecake, rounding off a meal steeped in tradition. Beverages range from iced tea and coffee to creative cocktails, complementing the robust menu choices. Whether you’re drawn by their Sunday family-style specials—think tenderloin tips and barbecue ribs—or their signature double bubble events, Washington Inn Supper Club promises a genuine slice of Wisconsin supper culture.

In summary, Washington Inn Supper Club is a place where nostalgic charm meets solid culinary craftsmanship. It caters to those who appreciate a classic steakhouse experience with a local twist, boasting memorable flavors and a convivial ambiance that makes it worth the visit despite minor imperfections. A must-try for anyone traveling through Wisconsin or locals craving a true supper club staple.

The food was good. Had perch and a tenderloin. No complaints at all on the food. The place was not very clean though.

My family and I voted over to the public Cecil boat landing and parked there. We specifically wanted to go to The Washington Inn for double bubble and dinner. Boy, we were not expecting how awesome our experience was there! The drinks are fantastic, the service is outstanding, and the food is to die for! Highly recommend!

Great steaks, the potato puffs and twice baked potatoes were amazing, and the salad bar was fresh! Awesome place! I had the tomahawk steak, and it was cooked perfectly! As were all of the other steaks at our table!

Washington Inn Supper club is a classic. It has been here forever and it looks like it from the outside, make sure to go in, its great. As a supper club it has: -Great bar with specials -Large Salad Bar with soup, dips, not just lettuce -Good steak...check -Good fish...yup -Broiled chicken...required -liver on the menu...of course -really friendly service (assuming not 2hour with list) my service was superb -dark amber lighting with white Christmas lights...absolutely. I truly enjoyed my time here. There is plenty of seating but I think I got lucky with my stop and having no wait; I hear this place can get busy. I will be back.

All the above was just good. Potential is there to be great under different circumstances. We went there the day before Mother's Day, so there were a couple of big parties at the beginning & and with the double bubble. The place was packed, thus stretching the staff thin. Many of the patrons were there taking up space just for the double bubble. When we finally got to the dining room, the salad bar was out of many items, including french dressing. We asked for more french dressing to 3 different staff and after about a half hour we were informed they had run out. Salad plates were scarce as well.

I ordered the 8 oz prime tenderloin and it was fantastic, came with bacon Mac n cheese which was home made. The salad bar was terrific along with great soup! This is a classic supper club with double drinks during happy hour. Definitely stop in for a great steak! Just stopped again and had the stuffed tenderloin, it was delicious and perfectly done! They now do red potatoes which are great! Everything was terrific, including the old fashions which are 2 fo1 during happy hour, 4 pm to 6pm. Definitely stop into the Washington Inn located in Cecil. Went back on 8/10/22 and had the Liver & Onions, it was terrific! Smothered in onions and bacon! Try it....

Beautiful place for a special occasion. I ended up here because of the double bubble on drinks. Bartenders were very nice. People here are so friendly. I will definitely keep this supper club in mind.
